Stampin Llamas Occasionally Occasions Blog Hop

Stampin' Llamas Occasionally Occasions Blog Hop

The Stampin’ Llamas are hoppin’ into 2012! As we showcase products in the new Stampin’ Up! Occasions mini catalog and free items in the Sale-a-bration brochure*, you’ll find projects for any occasion. Watch for new products for your Sizzix Big Shot, as well as fresh new fabric, designer series paper, ribbons and hardware, and, of course, exclusive rubber stamps from Stampin’ Up!.

Packed for Baby-Girl

Detail of Packed for Baby Stamp

Twitterpated Designer Button
This was the first chance I have had to sit down and play with my new stamps, and tools from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  After the holidays, I had the flu again, so now I am feeling better and happy to create again.  This card is made using the new Packed for Baby, isn't it so cute?  I am in the process of designing cards for my upcoming Card Buffet and this will be one of them.  I used the Stampin' Up! Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen to color the Packed for Baby.  I used the Petite Pairs stamp set for the sentiment and the set comes with an inside sentiment also that reads, "so glad you're here!".  Bet you are wondering how I got the background pink?  Our hostess stamp set in the Holiday Mini, Warmest of Wishes, had an inside circle cut out of the wreath.  I used that circle to stamp the Blushing Bride ink over the sentiment, then used a 1 1/4" Circle Punch to cut it out.  Doesn't it leave a nice clean white border?  The background DSP is the new Twitterpated and the button is out of the Twitterpated Designer buttons, aren't they too cute?  The hearts were made using the new Fashionable Hearts Embosslits Die and they come in different textures.

Everyday Enchantment Paper Doily

Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad

Isn't this new Paper Doily Large Sizzlits Die gorgeous?  Hint, cut a Scallop Circle Bigz Die and tape it to the back of the sizzlit and all of those little punch-outs fall out of the doily.  The DSP used on the card is from the Everyday Enchantment paper in the upcoming sale-a-bration catalog as well as the ribbon that I laced through the doily and the matching brad.  Too cute!  The sentiment is from the Apothecary Art stamp set that I colored with our markers to match.  It was cut out with the new Framelits Die Labels Collection.  If you don't have a copy of the new mini yet, there is a link to the right on my blog.  If you don't have a demonstrator yet, please consider becoming one of my special customers.  Email me for my online specials.

Sweet Cake

This card was made using the Sweet Cake stamp set that I earned for free because of my new recruit, Paula!  Thanks Paula!!!!!  It is on the new DSP Sweet Shop and that cute ribbon in the background is our new 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon, Blushing Bride.
Come back on Sunday to sign up for my Blog One Year Anniversary Blog Candy Giveaway!!!!!!!!  I am making a pledge this year to be a better blogger and to blog at least once a week.  If you would like to receive email notifications of my blog updates, please sign up to the right. Initial Gift Set

Initial Gift Set
This coming Thursday I will be having an Initial Gift Set class.  We will be making the holder(one piece of 12x12 DSP, thanks to Michelle Suit) and six note cards and matching envelopes.  Can you see the detail on the envelop flap?  That detail was made with the new Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folders(It includes three different ones, I'm so excited) that will be in the new Occasions Mini Catalog starting on 1/4/12.  These were made using the Paisley Petals DSP, but my ladies can pick which DSP they want to use.  This would really make a nice Christmas present.  I still have openings, so give me a call or email.  Here are more pictures:

Soul Scrap Quest #10 - There's Something About Christmas!!

SSQ#10 Martin Christmas
Over at Soul Scrappers I am participating in a scrap challenge and here were the rules:
This Quest allows you to create anything you want......

What makes this a QUEST unique..... is that until you open your envelope you are really not going to know what is in it, and what you are expected to use.   Some of the embellies could be shop bought, painted items,  stickers,  stamped images,  polymer clay items,  metal items,  hand pieced images,  handmade flowers, sewn items,  felt items etc......... the list goes on!! I will post a list of the goodies here, once all envelopes have been received.

Well, when I received the envelope it was FULL of items to use on my project.  And I managed to use it all.  I also got to use a new Stampin' Up! Big Shot die that will be coming out on January 4th in the new Occasions Mini Catalog. See the large Rosette on the background?  That new die really made this rosette or lollie easy as pie to make.  So here are some more pictures with details.  I believe that I have more stuff on this page than ever before.  Come join us over at Soul Scrappers and have fun scrapping with us.  I have a button on the right to take you there.

Mocha Morning Card Keeper

Card Keeper and 5 Card Class
Tomorrow night my ladies will be making a Card Keeper and 5 Cards to place inside.  What a great present this would make.
Mocha Morning Card Keeper
I covered the Stampin' Card Keeper (from page 35 of the Holiday Mini Catalog) lid with Mocha Morning Specialty Paper.  The flowers were made with the Fun Flower die.  I placed a Fleur de lis knob in the center so that I can give this to a special person in my life.
The Card Keeper comes with six dividers for the important occasions for giving cards.  In class we will be making five cards.  Since my ladies chose to use the Paisley Petals DSP for their Card Keeper lids, I made the five cards to match.
