Mocha Morning Card Keeper

Card Keeper and 5 Card Class
Tomorrow night my ladies will be making a Card Keeper and 5 Cards to place inside.  What a great present this would make.
Mocha Morning Card Keeper
I covered the Stampin' Card Keeper (from page 35 of the Holiday Mini Catalog) lid with Mocha Morning Specialty Paper.  The flowers were made with the Fun Flower die.  I placed a Fleur de lis knob in the center so that I can give this to a special person in my life.
The Card Keeper comes with six dividers for the important occasions for giving cards.  In class we will be making five cards.  Since my ladies chose to use the Paisley Petals DSP for their Card Keeper lids, I made the five cards to match.

Technique Class

Tonight is Technique Class at my home.  We will be learning two new techniques that I have been wanting to do for a long time.  The first is the Stained Mosaic Technique.

Christmas Postcard Stained Mosaic
You can find the directions for this technique here: Stained Mosaic and the second technique can be found here: Wax Paper Resist .

Season of Joy Wax Paper Resist

I used the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for this card and Cherry Cobbler ink.  Don't you just love it?  I'll be using this technique again.

Thanksgiving Place Settings

Last night Amanda and I worked on Thanksgiving Place Settings for our families.  We think they will love them, what do you think?
Thanksgiving Place Settings
First we made these really cute turkey place card/candy holders.  I had seen the turkey at Louisville Regional on a card, but I changed his face a little.  These little candy holders will hold three Hershey Nuggets.  It is made with the larger of the Two Tags die.

When the Idea Book and Catalog came out my ladies and I were really attracted to the Grateful Greetings on page 27 of the catalog.  I then had run across a really cute Always Thankful Trifold Card made by Alex Hobson and decided to combine both ideas into my Spice Cake Grateful Greetings.  I found directions to make the Trifold Card at SplitCoastStampers here:  Trifold Pocket Card.
Spice Cake Grateful Greetings
I have had the Petite Pocket die for awhile and hadn't taken it out of the package and thought maybe it would hold a place setting of flatware.  I was so excited that it worked.  I stamped it with the Gently Falling stamp set and tied some Spice Cake fabric around it for a bow.

Check back tomorrow for my two cards that we will be making Thursday in Technique Class.
